COLUMBA / GENERATIVE FPV
A new form

DESIGNED FROM A DIFFERENT STARTING POINT
Let the structure
take shape.
What if an FPV frame began with the forces it needs to carry?
Columba explores that question through generative design. Organic, connected geometry opens up a different way to think about the frame—beyond a stack of flat carbon-fibre plates.
FORM FOLLOWS THE LOAD
Every curve.
A reason.
Mounting points and design constraints guide the structure. The goal: reduce unnecessary material while pursuing the stiffness a capable FPV build needs.
An engineering direction. Validation comes through testing.ADDITIVE BY DESIGN
A shape made possible
by a different process.
Freedom in three dimensions.
Selective laser sintering is the planned manufacturing route. Building layer by layer gives the design room to explore curved connections and integrated features.
Material selection, manufacturing details and the final specification remain part of development.

ENGINEERING, IN THE OPEN
Good questions.
Better iterations.
The frame is a work in progress. Pilot feedback helps define what needs to be tested next.
From the earlier 7-inch concept to this 5-inch direction, Columba is being shaped by a simple ambition: explore what a lighter, integrated FPV structure could become.
Structure & weight
Measure the balance between material use, stiffness and strength.
VALIDATION FOCUSVibration & flight
Understand how the frame behaves with electronics, motors and propellers.
VALIDATION FOCUSLife in the field
Evaluate assembly, access, durability and repairability with pilots in mind.

Is this a complete drone?
This is a frame-development project. The 3D view shows the supplied prototype frame geometry, without motors, propellers, electronics or a battery.
Can I buy one yet?
The frame is in development. A release date, final specification and sales price have not been announced here.
What is confirmed about performance?
The current direction is a generatively designed 5-inch frame intended for a 2306-class build. Weight reduction, stiffness and practical performance are development goals. Published performance figures will follow measured prototype testing.
